Bowen Liu

Bowen Liu is the founder of Bowen Liu Studio, a design and research office based in New York City since 2017. The studio creates its namesake furniture brand and provides furniture and accessories design services for established brands and manufacturers around the world. Liu’s designs are dedicated to imbuing the living environment with a sense of tranquility, focusing on traditional techniques and modern technology to create collectible design and functional art. Liu is a critic at Furniture Design Department at Rhode Island School of Design.

Liu’s designs have appeared in elite magazines and publications worldwide, including Monocle, Interior Design, Elle Decor, Dwell, Metropolis, Christie’s International Real Estate, Azure, Bon Appétit, Design Anthology, Dezeen.com, and Design in Asia: The New Wave published by Thames & Hudson. Liu’s awards include ICFF Editors Awards, NYC X DESIGN Awards, European Product Design Award.
